Chingaza Natural Park

With an altitude of approximately 10,500 ft. Chingaza Natural Park is a breathtaking (literally) natural landscape. It is one of the nicest views you can find closest to the capital, Bogota. You will find the beautiful frailejon ,a plant that is widespread to this site. The peat moss plants, along with the mirror-like lakes originated from glaciers, the peaceful mountains and the occasional deer, condor, eagle, bespectacled bear or puma sure make this spot a hiking for tranquillity.

This is where the desert beaches are mesmerizing is located NE of Bogota. This region has many beautiful places to be considered awesome landscapes but, Cabo de la Vela is the winner. Caño Cristales

This pretty landmark is located SE of the capital in the department of Meta in a region called Sierra de la Macarena. It's the most beautiful river in the world. Your eyes will be amused by the red, yellow, green, black and blue colours decorating its waters. The river has been called the “liquid rainbow.” The colours of the river only happen from July to November due to an algae biological phenomenon. You can also find waterfalls and natural pools along with wildlife to enrich your landscape.

Valle de Cocora

The Valle de Cocora (Cocora Valley) features the remarkable Quindío wax palm. These tall palm trees measure a stunning 148 ft. which is a great reason to be one of the most amazing landscapes in Colombia. This valley is located SW of the capital in the Quindío department. You will be in the midst of the Coffee Region of Colombia. The green surroundings are a rest to your pupils and the picturesque surrounding towns will make this trip unforgettable.

San Agustin Archaeological Park

Finally, the San Agustin Archaeological Park. San Agustin is a town located in the southwestern region of Colombia in the department of Huila. In this town we can find 116 hectares of ruins that date from the 1st to the 8th century. The mysterious Andean culture who flourished during this time was able to leave a legacy landscape of megalithic sculptures depicting gods, mythical animals, and funeral scenes, among other impressive monuments. It is a totally worth the view after the 130 steps that takes you to the tallest part of the park. Not for the faint of heart.
